A self-proclaimed "education junkie" who grew up in a boarding school family of teachers, is married to an independent school teacher, and whose children attend Beaver Country Day School, where Peter has worked for many years, Peter is a regular contributor to Independent School magazine and is the author of An Admirable Faculty: Recruiting, Hiring, Training, and Retaining the Best Independent School Teachers (National Association of Independent Schools, 2005). His writing has appeared in Education Week, the Harvard Education Letter, and Teachers College Record, and he has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, the Christian Science Monitor, and USA Today.
